  12. The program that you referred to in your post that is produced by the Mormon
  13. Church is Personal Ancestoral File (PAF).  The Program does the following:

  15.       Pedigree Charts
  16.       Family Group Sheets
  17.           Allows for notes to be added and edited
  18.       Charts
  19.           Ancestry, Decendency,  and Ahnentafel charts
  20.       Lists
  21.           by individual, marriage, or place
  22.           showing possible record problems, ie mother was 5 when child was born
  23.           surname frequency, end-of-line individuals, individuals without re-
  24.           corded parents,
  25.       Allows custom designing of reports
  26.       Check for possible duplicate entries
  27.       And more

  29. It allows for your line to pass through brothers of the same family with-
  30. out crashing.  Also, it doesn,t take much room -- about 1.3 megs for the
  31. programs and very little for the database. I have about 15000 names saved in
  32. less than 1.44 megs.

  35. learn how to use, but the rest of the program is very simple to use.
