- I am presently porting an operating system to a multiprocessor
- machine developped at INESC: SMD architecture.
-
- I have other colleagues who are porting the OS originally
- developped for the SMD machines to the PC AT.
-
- We have been looking for papers/books/doc on methods of
- porting Operating Systems. Each of us has followed a different
- strategy.
-
- We would like to do some comparative evaluation/research/analysis
- of the different methods used to port operating systems.
- We would like to have references on the methods both from a
- conceptual/methodological approach, also from the case study type.
-
- Could anybody out there provide us with some pointers ?
-
- Many thanks in advance,
-
