  16. The addition of POSIX signals had a major impact on a lot of things, including
  17. the way system calls are actually made.  Before spending a lot of time debugging,
  18. I would suggest that you upgrade entirely to a consistent 1.6.24b.  It is
  19. definitely a possibility that you can't put together part of the old system and
  20. part of the new one.
