  14. I am a new Linux user trying to configure X to boot up my
  15. Trident TVGA8900c card.  I read the FAQ and followed the suggestions for
  16. the the card.  However, I still get the following errors when I start
  17. up X:
  18.     - A "no SIOCGIFCONF" error first thing when X attemps to start
  19.     - A "Trident driver only supports TVGA8900C" error, followed by
  20.       a "None of the configured devices was detected" error.
  21. Then, X dies and I get a fatal server error.

  23. Could someone please help me with figuring out what these errors mean.
