- Hello, Before I say anything I'd just like to send kudos to all the folks
- working on Linux and related software, Great job guys!
-
- Now, to the point :) I'm a big fan of SLS. it allowed me to slip into the
- world of Linux with the minimum birthing pain..
-
- However, now that I've been in for awhile I'm beginning to get a little bit
- out of date .. There's been a new release of X (1.2.. I think I got an earlier
- release with my 0.98 pl5 SLS), I'm not sure whether or not I have an 'older'
- copy of BASH mentioned in the FAQ (X apps I've ported keep wiping out with
- SIGALRM's) and I wonder if its safe to upgrade to new versions of things..
-
-
- What I'd like to suggest is a file that would come with SLS that would give the
- version/patchlevel of every major package included in SLS.. This would make
- the users task MUCH easier when he/she gets on the upgrade path..
-
- All in all though SLS is tremendous.. Keep up the good work!
