  13. I don't know, why it always seem to happen to me. I haven't been able to
  14. recompile the kernel without a hitch even once. I got the latest SLS last
  15. week and installed it at friday. Well, I ran the make config and answered
  16. the questions. I didn't want TCP/IP (I have no networking at home...).
  17. Well, when I compiled, ld complained about the non-existance of net.o. Well
  18. it was obviously supposed to come from the files in net/tcp directory.
  19. Ok, I decided then to take TCP/IP. So I reconfigured and everything went
  20. smoothly, until it complains, that it doesn't know, how to make cdefs.h...
  21. I thought, that you were not supposed to make .h files? And I tried to
  22. find this file everywhere, but no luck...

  24. So, has anybody else had the same problem with missing (?) cdefs.h, and
  25. how did you solve it?

  27. I somehow get the feeling, that the config script has not been tested with
  28. all possible options and it only works with certain options... I'm probably
  29. wrong, but that is the impression, that I got with the fiddling with TCP/IP.

  34. PS. Besides that, the installation went very smoothly and everything else
  35.     works like a dream...:)
