  32. Are you *really* sure that your machine hangs?

  34. Try to wait a sufficiently long time when telneting......

  36. I noticed the following (I'll use your machine names for convenience) :

  38. Here "fugazi" is a Sun 3/50 under SunOS

  40. and "darwin" is, as you, my Linux machine

  42. If I 'telnet fugazi' from darwin, Linux seems to hang, but after a
  43. looooong time connects to fugazi and everything is OK.

  45. If I 'telnet 129.30.30.2' from darwin, the connection is perfect and
  46. immediate.

  48. From fugazi to darwin, this is exactly the same bahaviour : if you
  49. telent with the name of the machine as argument, it takes a very long
  50. time, if you do this with tha address it's immediate.....
