- Please help!
-
- I am in the process of loading linux on my PC and I have ran into a
- bit of a snag. I installed the base system and the install script
- created a boot disk.
- Now when the system boots from the new disk the screen goes
- blank? The install boot disk works fine and I was able to see
- that the files seemed to get transfered OK.
- I did some reading in the news here and found a problem like mine
- The response said the video was changing to SVGA and the rdev -v
- call was designed to prevent the switch. I tried it with no change.
-
- Please give me some hints. I am excited about linux and would like
- to get it running.
-
- My configuration is a 386SX 20M with 4M RAM and a standard
- paradise VGA.
-
- Thanks in advance
