  11. I was compiling X in the background on oone connection as root, and attempted
  12. to configure gcc in another window.

  14. These are on two different hard drives, and it bombed out of the configure 
  15. with the errors:

  24. This could be a problem, as only 3 users are even logged into my machine, and
  25. the limits start getting reached. These have got to be increased somewhere.
