  14. I am currently running Coherent 4.0 on my home machine (generic 486/33 with
  15. 200 MB IDE drive).  I'd like to install and start playing with Linux, as
  16. Coherent has some shortcomings as of this release (4.0.0).  I've obtained
  17. the SLS package from ftp.uu.net, and have taken it up to the point where 
  18. it wants to mkfs on my disk.  I'd like to wipe out my DOS partition, and
  19. put Linux there.  According to fdisk, this is possible.  However, before I
  20. go ahead and DO it, I thought I'd ask if anyone has had any difficulties
  21. with this.  Will fdisk respect the start and stop cylinder positions of
  22. my DOS partition, and not do anything to my Coherent partition?  I'd hate
  23. to wipe *everything* out.
