- I am a newbie too, so I am afraid this will not offer you much help.
- However, with my SLS version I received LILO and what appears to be a
- rather comprehensive TeX document describing the entire process.
- Unfortunately, I do not have TeX, or any experience with it, so I am
- trying to figure out how to struggle through this also. I can say that
- I have tried to use LILO to create a boot disk on a floppy, and failed.
- It starts to boot with the message "LILO loading......" (something like
- that), begins a boot process, and then hangs with an "unable to mount
- root" error. Therefore, I too would be very interested in a trimmed-
- down 'quick and dirty' how to guide for LILO, and am willing to share
- any resources with those wanting it. Any help is appreciated. Thanks
- in advance.
