- I have installed SLS just before christmas and I have found two bugs
- - Sometimes, when I boot, the keyboard does not respond. It seems to
- be completely random whether this happens or not. Background processes
- still run, I once put "(sleep 10;ps xal)&" and it runs fine,
- but not even ALT-Fn worked. When the moon is in the correct position :-)
- I can log in without problems.
- - I have "xdm -nodaemon < /etc/console" in my rc.local and it works
- for two sessions. After the second logout the screen goes wild.
-
-
- I also have two questions:
- - The "time" prefix complains and I heard that the solution is to
- recompile. Where can I find the sources?
- - Some time ago somebody at the University of Glasgow posted an article
- that he ported LML, glhc and Gofer to linux. This question is only
- for people at dcs.glasgow. I tried download these packages
- from ftp.dcs.glasgow.ac.uk but I get the response:
-
- Connected to vanuata.dcs.glasgow.ac.uk.
- 421 Service not available, remote server has closed connection
-
- How can I get LML, glhc and Gofer for linux, I do not want to
- do the porting all over again.
-
- Thanks in advance,
- Mark Ramaer
