  13.     I have just installed Linux 0.99 (SLS) on my 386/16Mhz machine and every
  14.     thing works well. At least as long as I boot from my floppy...

  16.     I try to use lilo on my machine to boot from the hard disk but it doesn't
  17.     work. I have a 60 MB HD with a 2 partitions : hda1 is for LINUX hda2 for
  18.     swap. I have NO MSDOS partition.

  20.     What I did is :

  22.      lilo -c -i boot.b -b /dev/hda linux=/Image
  23.  
  24.     lilo reported a successfull installation but when I boot from the hard
  25.     disk everything goes well : LILO starts, find /Image, the initialization
  26.     of the kernel is ok, the partition table is reported ok and then I 
  27.     have the following message :

  30.     Partition table ok.
  31.     MINIX-fs : unable to read super-block
  32.     EXT-fs : unable to read super-block
  33.     MSDOS bread failed
  34.     isofs_read_super : bread failed, dev 0x343 iso_blknum 16.
  35.     Kernel panic : Unable to mount root.
