  12. Hello verybody,
  13. I'm quite new to the linux world, sine I only bought my
  14. 486DX33 yesterday.
  15. One of the reasons I bought it was to run Linux.
  16. The system was supposes to come equipped with a Trident 8900C
  17. video card, and I read that I could use that Trident card for
  18. Linunx with X.
  19. But instead it was equipped with an Oak 077 SVGA (1 MB) card.
  20. My questions are these:
  21. - Can I run Linux/X with this card and how?
  22.   What XConfig to use etc.?
  23. - If not, why not?

  25. I would greatly appreciate any answers to the questions.
  26. I don't have much time though to look into this, because if it doesn't
  27. work I may be able to persuade the shop who sold me the system to trade
  28. the card for a Trident 8900C card.
  29. (And in the end I plan to buy myself a Tsenglabs or other
  30.  card, but that is a plan for the future and I don't know when
  31.  that will happen.)
