  13. Remember - these are only my opinions regarding Linux & Coherent.

  15. At first I tried Coherent. It looked nice, installed easily, but
  16. had some problems w/ my SCSI-drive. But then I tried to compile some
  17. of UNIX sources I've got. NO SUCCESS! I succeeded in compiling only
  18. really bare-bones software.

  20. Linux: Installation was bit harder, but no problems overall. Only
  21. annoying thing was that I had to boot from disk - haven't yet
  22. tried LILO. Compiling of sources was more successfull, and so far
  23. over 50% of non-Linux sources have worked with only little modifications,
  24. and some just out-of-the-tar.Z.

  26. Of course Linux has it's problems too, but I recommend it. Free,
  27. and new versions arrive quite often.
