- just a quick questions.. rumor has it that the P5 is going to be a
- 100 MIPS machine... and most highend 486's are about 20 MIPS.
-
- does anyone know if the upgrade socket on i486's allows you
- to stick in a P5 or something of that nature?
-
- I have heard (again hearsay) that is there is a chip in the
- upgrade slot the orginal Cpu is bypassed.
-
- if anyone knows... please straighten me out.
-
- just to know if I can upgrade if a decide to go with a 486 and not wait
- for the P5 whick might not be supported by Linux anytime soon.
