  13. I need help with lilo 0.7

  15. The previous version of lilo worked great until I upgraded
  16. the linux kernel. With the new kernels we need lilo 0.7.
  17. So far so good.

  19. So I downloaded, compiled and installed it.

  21. It works great on my computer at home (mfm hard disk).
  22. But in the university (at bus/ide hard disk) it prints 
  23. only "LI" instead of "LILO" and the computer hangs.

  25. I used exactly the same source both times.
  26. Both computers were installed starting with hlu's
  27. boot and base disks, then I added GCC from the SLS disks.
  28. I erased the etc/lilo directory and recreated it by
  29. copying lilo, boot.b and chain.b there from /usr/src/lilo.
  30. On one computer it works, on the other not.
