- I was studying the HJ Lu boot/rootdisk and the SLS a1 disk with
- an eye to making a goot boot/root floppy that runs entirely in
- a ramdisk and could be used to repair/restore HD problems. I noticed
- that, after putting far fewer files on my floppies than H.J. Lu or
- SLS a1, I ran out of space, but then du -s * on H.J. Lu's 98.5 boot
- root disk showed that it had almost 1.9Mbytes of data, while
- df showed that it was a 1.44 Mbyte filesystem. How is this
- accomplished?
-
- Is there some space-saving procedure for minix-formatted floppies?
