  44. I understand that this is a new experience for most people. They are 
  45. installing and using unix for the first time. But, there are other news groups
  46. out there other than this one.

  48. People seem to think that since they installed linux, that only the linux
  49. group has answers. Comp.unix.questions would be able to answer questions
  50. about tar for instance. Also, since this was a problem with installation,
  51. emailing the author would also work. This news group gets way too many
  52. question that could better be answered in other groups or just by email.

  54. I not trying to say people shouldn't post problems here, but use your
  55. heads first. If its a unix question in general, post it to a general
  56. unix group.
