- Summary: An unreadable file causes a kernel panic evry time I want to rm it.
- Keywords: inode kernel panic extended file-system
-
- Hello,
-
- Yesterday I wanted to remove a file "cc0103.i" from my "/tmp"-directory,
- but every time I do a:
-
- rm /tmp/cc0103.i
-
- I got the message:
-
- Kernel panic: Unable to read i-node block
-
- I did a efsck -r /dev/hdb2 but it reported no errors in the file-system.
- Then I moved /tmp to /tmp.bak, created a new /tmp and tried to remove
- the whole /tmp.bak, but I had no success.
-
- So, how is it possible to get rid of this one file?
-
- Any idea would be very helpful.
-
