  13. If I give gcc 2.3.3 the -g flag, ld complains about an unknown "-static"
  14. flag; I had no such trouble with my previous version gcc, 2.2.2d.  My
  15. version of ld came with the SLS 0.98pl5 distribution. Is that version
  16. of ld out of date by now?
