- After finally getting the new hard drive I ordered some time ago, I eagerly
- began the installation process for the SLS Linux distribution. Everything
- worked great until I rebooted with the floppy the installation procedure
- created. When it booted, after the "Loading...." message, my screen went
- berserk. The computer continued merrily along and seemed to come up OK,
- but I couldn't read anything on the screen.
-
- It looks like a timing problem on the video card. Does anybody have any
- idea how this might be fixed? The install boot disk didn't have this
- problem, even when I put it in SVGA mode...
-
- My system is a Gateway 2000 386-33Mhz with a Diamond Speedstar (ET4000)
- video card and a Crystal Scan 1024NI monitor.
