  22. I too get the ioctl: invalid argument message at bootup.  After trying
  23. unsuccessfuly to configure my system for tcp/ip I went ahead and downloaded
  24. the SLS tcpip.taz and used it as a basis for my configuration (I changed the
  25. domain/host names and left the numbers alone).  Having done this, I now get
  26. the ioctl message.  Ftp works now, though.  Telnet has problems with login
  27. (I get the login: usage message and have to ^C out of it), but afm works.

  29. Hope this helps narrow down the possibities some.
