- I am trying to get olvwm running on my system, which is as follows:
-
- 486/33, 8Mb RAM
- Linux SLS 0.98p5 with kernel 0.99pl1-46
- X386S3-0.3.1 server
-
- olwm and twm both work fine.
- However, having unpacked olvwm-bin.tar.Z and put the files in the appropriate
- places, I replaced the line 'exec olwm -f' from /usr/X386/lib/X11/xinit/xinitrc
- with 'exec olvwm -f'.
-
- On typing startx, X appeared. No applications appeared (I should have seen
- xbiff, xclock and an xterm), and after a few seconds the server spontaneously
- shut down with no explanation. Anybody got any ideas?
