  12. Last night I installed the lib.so.4.2 stuff and gcc 2.3.3
  13. I didn't seem to have any problems with the lib stuff.
  14. (I installed the Image-4.2.tar.Z file and the include files,
  15. and the extra-4.2.tar.Z files.  The jump-4.2.tz looked like it
  16. was just stuff to make the other libraries.  I then untarred
  17. gcc 2.3.3.  I was able to compile programs, but when I compiled
  18. my xhello program (4 #include's and 5 lines of code) it gave me an
  19. exec that was over 500K (using 2.2.2 the exec was about 15K!)
  20. What would cause this?  I tried to compile it with the
  21. -L/usr/lib/shlib/jump option (which worked under 2.2.2) but that
  22. gave me an error saying something close to:
  23. (crt0.o) : Undefined symbol __envrion referenced from text segment.
