- I'm trying to get the following hardware working properly with my copy of
- linux 0.99.p1 + X11:
-
- STB Powergraph Ergo card (ET4000 based, 1 mb on board)
- Laser 386sx Monitor (got sketchy info on the monitor that was included
- with the system; has standard horizontal freq. of 31.5/35.5 KHz and
- vertical goes between 50~88Hz).
-
- I can, with the default values in Xconfig, go with the 640x480 or 800x600
- display, but my monitor goes unstable with the 1024x768i setting. (the
- booklet does say that the monitor's mode 5 handles the 1024x768 with
- a display time of 23.15 us horizontal and 10.90ms vertical).
-
- I plan to get the clock.exe program from tsx-11 to verify the clock settings
- for my board. But, I seem to have a problem with the directions that are
- given to use the modegen2.sc spreadsheet. From putting in the values given
- above, I don't seem to be able to generate the proper values for the mode-db
- line for 1024x768.
-
- Can someone give me a 'walk through' with a simple case? I'd appreciate it.
