  11. I'm trying to get the following hardware working properly with my copy of
  12. linux 0.99.p1 + X11:

  14. STB Powergraph Ergo card (ET4000 based, 1 mb on board)
  15. Laser 386sx Monitor (got sketchy info on the monitor that was included
  16. with the system; has standard horizontal freq. of 31.5/35.5 KHz and
  17. vertical goes between 50~88Hz).

  19. I can, with the default values in Xconfig, go with the 640x480 or 800x600
  20. display, but my monitor goes unstable with the 1024x768i setting.  (the
  21. booklet does say that the monitor's mode 5 handles the 1024x768 with
  22. a display time of 23.15 us horizontal and 10.90ms vertical).

  24. I plan to get the clock.exe program from tsx-11 to verify the clock settings
  25. for my board.  But, I seem to have a problem with the directions that are
  26. given to use the modegen2.sc spreadsheet.  From putting in the values given
  27. above, I don't seem to be able to generate the proper values for the mode-db
  28. line for 1024x768.

  30. Can someone give me a 'walk through' with a simple case?  I'd appreciate it.
