  12. Has anybody gotten the Trident 8800(512k) video card to operate under 
  13. Linux's (SLS) X386 enviroment?

  15. Either 16 colours or monochrome mode would be great.

  18.     I have tried to start X windows in monochrome by:

  21.     cp X386 X386color

  23.     cp Xconfig.mono to Xconfig
  24.     cp X386mono X386

  28.     I get an error unable to find a VGA256 driver???

  30.     Why is it still looking for a 256 colour driver or compatable card?

  32.     The monochrome Xconfig has no "vga256" area in it.
