  15. I just installed the SLS 0.99 release and am having troubles adding users.
  16. I add users using:
  17.     useradd  ...
  18.     chpasswd ...
  19.  
  20. and lo, the user is created and I have managed to set their passwd. 
  21.  
  22. BUT, I cannot "finger" them, nor can they use elm etc... and they cannot 
  23. reset thier passwords and moreover, I cannot do a 'su'. I get a invalid uid
  24. or cannot find uid error meessage. 
  25.  
  26. I do not know whether this is a linux problem, or something in the way I tried
  27. adding the users. I do not have the adduser program, and I do not have any 
  28. knowledge of how to run the 'mkpasswd' program that is supposed to be run after
  29. adding users.
