- Ok, things are a bit better for the QIC-02 Drivers, I was able to get the
- new, GNU cpio 2.2 to work and mt 2.2.
-
- I haven't played around with tar again yet, but I did find a new problem:
-
- After doing a large cpio transfer, which filled the tape, I replaced the
- tape with another, did mt erase and tried to cpio a small directory, and it
- was convinced that even the new tape was full. I tried mt reset (Using the
- old mt), mt rewind, mt retension, mt erase again, but to no avail, it was
- convined the tape was full, and any other tapes were full.
-
- If anyone has any ideas or has seen this problem, drop a line.
-
-
- Also, If you get the GNU cpio 2.2, make sure you keep your old mt program
- from the qic-02.2c as the old version is modified to do reset commands.
