- On a more serious note, _Civil Disobedience_ has been around
- since the 1800's (I wish I could remember the exact date). It was
- used during the 60's, yes, but also it is also a rallying text for
- many political movements outside the United States. I re-read it
- recently and was able to draw many, many parallels between what
- Thoreau is saying and what gets discussed every day on the Net.

- Now I *realize* that we all read the essay in our 10th grade
- English classes. But I don't think it hurts to remind ourselves what
- _Civil Disobedience_ has to say.
