- One thing that bothers me a lot is the nonspecific accusation--as one a
- poster asserts that someone has made "straw man, ad hominem, distortions
- and other unpolite attacks" without specifying who the person is or what
- postings qualified as such attacks.

- It's very similar to the McCarthy-tactic of asserting that one has a list
- of traitors, but never showing the list.
