- I've just gotten a query on animation files and MCI and could use some
- net.wisdom. The end goal is to show animations and "movies" sing MCI
- calls.
-
- First, what are the current standards for animation files? I know that
- MacroMind Director and Autodesk Animator seem to be the chieftools, but
- are there others? What about the animation files that are/were used in
- the MS Multimedia Developers Kit under Windows 3.; are they still
- around? Are there others that I don't know about?
-
- Second, how does this relate to QuickTime for Windows and Video for
- Windows? Are there utilities within those packages that show orconvert
- animations?
-
- Third, there is an MCI animation and movie player command set. How does
- this relate to the animations mentioned above? Are there MI drivers
- available for each of these products?
-
- Is there an FAQ that I should be reading to find this stuff out?
-
- Thanks for your help!
