  14. I've just gotten a query on animation files and MCI and could use some
  15. net.wisdom.  The end goal is to show animations and "movies" sing MCI
  16. calls.
  17.  
  18. First, what are the current standards for animation files? I know that
  19. MacroMind Director and Autodesk Animator seem to be the chieftools, but
  20. are there others?  What about the animation files that are/were used in
  21. the MS Multimedia Developers Kit under Windows 3.; are they still
  22. around?  Are there others that I don't know about?

  24. Second, how does this relate to QuickTime for Windows and Video for
  25. Windows?  Are there utilities within those packages that show orconvert
  26. animations?  
  27.  
  28. Third, there is an MCI animation and movie player command set.  How does
  29. this relate to the animations mentioned above?  Are there MI drivers
  30. available for each of these products?

  32. Is there an FAQ that I should be reading to find this stuff out?
