- My configuration is uk-sendmail 2.1 with multihost option. We have a
- mailhost and number of client hosts. These clients mount mailhost's
- spool mail directory so that mail can be read. When we send mail, the
- use of aliases file ensures that mail for local users is always
- redirected to mailhost which will do the delivery. I like to do away
- with aliases on the client machines but putting appropriate lines in
- the sendmail.cf file. If this is possible and not outrageouly bad
- thing to do which rule set would be the appropriate place for such
- hacks?
-
- Incidently I found a couple of bugs in the sendmail-2.1 if tcp mailer
- is used. Apologies if this has already been reported. The two bugs were
-
- a) In rules.m4 line 44, there is a missing $ before the @
- b) In mailer.m4 line 66 there is a trailing space, which
- causes problems during smpt connection (the . does not get
- seen as an end of message and the connection eventually
- times out (using sendmail 5.65c+ida-1.4.4)
