- It doesn't look like 'smail' has it's own group and that comp.mail.sendmail
- most probably concerns itself with _only_ sendmail ('natch)...
-
- Sooo... is this the place to ask about 'smail'?
-
- On the off-shot that it is, I have a small question:
-
- Using smail 3.1.28, my host is _only_ on the Ethernet. But whenever I
- look at the full mail headers for stuff received, whereas 'sendmail' would
- print something like:
-
- From user@machine.foo.bar <... the date went here ...>
-
- 'smail' prints:
-
- From machine.foo.bar!user <... as above ...>
-
- Now the From: line is correct as is the Return Path:, but why does 'smail'
- insist on the ! address-type for From (no colon)? It's a small picky
- point and if it _really_ doesn't mean anything I'd be willing to ignore
- it, but I'm a bit concerned.
