- My sister, who has spent considerable time studying in Paris,
- tells me that French bureaucrats are extremely difficult to
- work with, especially where foreigners are concerned. This
- applies with extra force where telecoms are concerned.
-
- The most widely-used email system in France is Minitel, run
- by their phone company. Unfortunately I believe it still
- lacks Internet connectivity. If there is a way of reaching
- it from Internet somebody should post it!
-
- Your best bet is probably to try and find a person who has
- an Internet-reachable email account over there and is willing
- to help you. Ideal method would be a person who has both
- Minitel and EARN accounts who would be willing to act as a
- gateway...
-
- You could also try posting to alt.internet.access.wanted
