  11. Hi,
  12.     I'm having trouble with elm 2.3 PL4 user aliases.
  13.     From within elm, I can create aliases, list them, lookup a person,
  14.     and delete an alias. However, only the first alias in the list is
  15.     usable. When looking up any other person or trying to send mail to
  16.     them, thier address expands to an empty string.

  20.         The output of the 'l' command in the Alias submenu shows:

  22.         userA-alias = UserA's Fullname = userA@hostA
  23.         userB-alias = UserB's Fullname = userB@hostB
  24.         userC-alias = UserC's Fullname = userC@hostC

  26.         The output of the 'p' command shows:

  28.         Check for person: userA-alias
  29.         Aliased address: userA@hostA (UserA's Fullname)
  30.  
  31.         Check for person: userB-alias
  32.         Aliased address:

  37.     I've studied the source (though I don't follow hashing very well) and
  38.     see no obvious problems. Running elm with debugging turned on shows 
  39.     nothing major (?) except a warning that the system wide alias file
  40.     dosen't exist (as I don't have system wide aliases).

  42.     Elm is running under Interactive Unix System V r3.2.
  43.     Has anyone experienced this problem? Any fixes or suggestions?

  45.     BTW: Essentially the same configuration/compiled in options of Elm
  46.     works fine 'n dandy (tm) under 386BSD 0.1 (?!) A clue maybe?
