- Hi,
- I'm having trouble with elm 2.3 PL4 user aliases.
- From within elm, I can create aliases, list them, lookup a person,
- and delete an alias. However, only the first alias in the list is
- usable. When looking up any other person or trying to send mail to
- them, thier address expands to an empty string.
-
- Example:
-
- The output of the 'l' command in the Alias submenu shows:
-
- userA-alias = UserA's Fullname = userA@hostA
- userB-alias = UserB's Fullname = userB@hostB
- userC-alias = UserC's Fullname = userC@hostC
-
- The output of the 'p' command shows:
-
- Check for person: userA-alias
- Aliased address: userA@hostA (UserA's Fullname)
-
- Check for person: userB-alias
- Aliased address:
-
- Check for person: userC-alias
- Aliased address:

- I've studied the source (though I don't follow hashing very well) and
- see no obvious problems. Running elm with debugging turned on shows
- nothing major (?) except a warning that the system wide alias file
- dosen't exist (as I don't have system wide aliases).
-
- Elm is running under Interactive Unix System V r3.2.
- Has anyone experienced this problem? Any fixes or suggestions?
-
- BTW: Essentially the same configuration/compiled in options of Elm
- works fine 'n dandy (tm) under 386BSD 0.1 (?!) A clue maybe?
-
- Thanks,
- Fred
