  10. Just had one of our users start ELM 2.4.17 to prune old messages out of
  11. a folder called 'mbox', when he was very close to his filestore quota limit.
  12. What he got was this:

  15.  Write failed to tempfile in copy
  16.  mbox: Disc quota exceeded
  17.        Couldn't modify folder
  18.  
  19.  Write failed to tempfile in copy
  20.  /user/ps/psa008/emergency.mbox: Disc quota exceeded
  21.        Couldn't copy mailbox, system trouble
  22.  
  23.  Emergency exit taken! All temp files intact.
  24.  
  25. And the mbox file ended up empty.

  27. A couple of questions on this, then: what _are_ the temporary files that
  28. are intact? I can't see anything in /tmp or the user's own area.

  30. And has the user then totally lost what was in the folder in this case?
  31. I'm wondering if this isn't perhaps a rather drastic thing to happen....
