  28. Not to contradict the owner, I've tried this in the past, without success,
  29. running [ELM 2.4 PL5].  What I have done, at the suggestion of the keeper
  30. of ELM here at SCO Canada, was escape the '=', so the address is:

  32.     John\=Smith@...
  33.  
  34. (going across that canyon to Banyan?)
