- I'm pretty sure that you have to call CreateHost once for each window
- you want to open. I'm pretty new to RexxArpLib and Rexx in general, but
- I see no other way that it would be possible to do this in v2.52, which
- is what I have. For instance, say you could open another window. How
- then would you tell subsequent calls to Text, AddGadget, etc. which
- window to do this stuff in? There is nothing in their argument lists
- that could uniquely identify each window.
-
- If I'm right, then I would like to further add that it may not be a
- limitation of Intuition itself, but rather one placed on you by
- RexxArplib.

-
- Yes, this is possible. I think in the call to CloseWindow there is a flag
- to do just this. If this isn't clear, email me and I'll show you what I
- mean.
-
- Also, WaitForPort takes a while when you are creating a host for the
- first time. There's a faster way. I can't remember exactly how I did
- it in a program I'm currently working on, but I believe I busy-looped
- with a call to SHOW until it returned a true value. If this isn't clear
- email me and I'll send you a code fragment to illustrate. This wasn't
- an original idea of mine, BTW. I saw it somewhere.
-
- Hope this helps.
