- Just for the record, I said nothing to imply disagreement with this,
- and in my draft revised version of the Pop-11 primer, lvars is used
- throughout for local variables rather than vars,

- to have dynamic locals for special cases (e.g. cucharout, interrupt,
- pr, pop_file_mode, pop_enable_interrupts etc. etc.) in order to make
- it unnecessary to pass hordes of extra parameters via all sorts of
- procedures that can call user defined procedures.)
