  18. No, but using code optimized for screens rather than readability as an
  19. example of "good Forth", or even "what Forth looks like", might turn away
  20. potential new users.  It might be better if the public image of Forth used
  21. the formatting and file handling that most programmers are familiar with.  If
  22. those new Forth'ers then looked deeper and decided that screens would suit
  23. their personality/purpose/style better, then they are welcome to use it.

  25. I doubt that potential Forth'ers will be turned off upon seeing regular file
  26. systems.  Does anyone think the opposite is true?

  28. Some potential Forth'ers might be turned off by seeing heated "screens vs
  29. files" composing half the net traffic.  :(
