- As a side-effect of owning the first post to comp.lang.dylan (at least
- in my corner of the world), I'm getting lots of email from people who
- think this newsgroup is somehow related to musician/philosopher/genius
- Bob Dylan.
-
- I'm not flaming these people -- there's nothing wrong with a little
- spurious email now and again -- but I thought I might as well clear
- this up.
-
- Dylan is a computer language designed by Apple-Cambridge. It supposedly
- stands for DYnamic LANguage, but I can't help but think they had our
- friend Bob in mind. Even so, I don't think exploring the Dylan language
- or subscribing to this newsgroup will give you insights into the man or
- his music.
-
- For that sort of thing I'd recommend rec.music.dylan.

- Disclaimer: I don't know anything about the newsgroup rec.music.dylan,
- except that it exists, but it seems like the right place to point people.
