- Does anyone know of any C++/C implementations, aside from Sun's SPARC compilers,
- that can generate Solaris 2.x binaries? I'm particularly interested in finding out
- whether the GNU compilers/translators can now produce this new format.
-
- Sorry if this question has been asked before. Up to now, I haven't been paying too
- much attention to Solaris 2.x...but with Sun making a serious effort to extinguish us
- "backward" SunOS4.x developers, I thought it's time to investigate the inevitable :-)
-
- Thnx in advance for any info,
- Tom
-
- P.S. I know "a.out" format executables work (mostly) in Solaris 2.x's
- "compatibility mode". But I'm not sure what performance penalty one pays for
- running under this mode.
