  27. (416-925-6096, fax 416-488-7559) has a Truetype font called ISIAPL. This font
  28. is in mainframe SAPL quadav sequence, which may or may not meet your needs - it
  29. is quite different from the more PC-popular STSC convention.

  31. This font is not available standalone, but may be had for $30 CDN as part of
  32. the APLIWIN beta, which is a pretty handy product in its own right. It has a
  33. built in Windows API interface and native Dos file manipulation quad functions.
  34. It is a close relative of APLI386, though that product's aux proc orientation
  35. has disappeared (at least temporarily) in favor of Windows functionality. This
  36. is a real live Windows APL.

  38. It's dead trivial to whip up a translate table and APLIWIN functions that read
  39. or write DOS files containing STSC-style APL characters, and various people
  40. (myself included) have done that. Such functions are not presently bundled with
  41. the product, however.

  43. I personally find the APL and the font incredibly useful, though as a tech
  44. support heavy for the SHARP APL mainframe product I have a somewhat skewed
  45. perspective since APLI is extremely compatible with the stuff I use and sell.
  46. The keyboard takes a bit of getting used to, especially if one uses other APL's
  47. a lot - some of the traditional union keyboard strokes have mystic meanings in
  48. Windows, so the keyboard feels a bit weird to union keyboard fans.
