I am looking to make my first animated film.  (A 2 minute parable
called "Prolog h-bar, or, Quantum Mechanics Made Easy"  Characters
include the Hero, the Heroine, the King, the Villain, the Dragon, and
the Heroine's Girlfriend.  But I digress.)  I am hoping to be able to
carry out much of the project on my little 486.  I've never done
anything like this before and have lots of questions.  Any help would
be greatly appreciated.

Is there an animation FAQ?

Where can I read about computer animation?  I have found exciting
books on animation  (The Kodak Animation Book,  The Animation Book,
The Animator's Workbook) but these are not particularly helpful on
computer animation technique.  Does anyone know good sources here -
books, magazines, usenet?

I am looking for software for my 486.  What's available for the PC?
What are the standard formats?  Which are readily inter-convertible?
Which work with standard graphics packages?  Which will let me import
graphics via scanner?  Is there a good place to find software reviews?

Recent talk about Imagine sounded interesting.  It's price tag seemed
in my range.  Where can I find out more?

Any help here would be greatly appreciated!
