  11. This type of data is pretty readily available, especially on the NASA
  12. CD-ROMs with .img format graphics files.  But if you want native
  13. terrain data - I strongly suggest you use some of the USGS DEM data
  14. that is available on spectrum.xerox.com.  There is a learning curve
  15. concerning the file format - but I'd be happy to Email you source
  16. code for some programs which will take USGS DEMs and make them
  17. into a flat file matrix elevation format.
