- I was asked by several people to post a summary of responses I had to a similar question
- concerning the generation of .fli and .flc files. As for a .flc viewer, I recommend
- using play.exe with the -m2 option - does a nice job. CorelShow also handles .flc files
- nicely....
-
- As for .fli and .flc generation.... If you want to generate a .fli or .flc file with
- you .gif, etc.. source files being the same resolution, then I recommend using
- a program called dta.exe - thanks to the gentleman who ftp'd it to me.
-
- If you need to reduce your resolution, I can only recommend tgafli.exe which
- takes targa 16 and 24 bit files and does pixel averaging to get them to the
- 320x200 resolution. It is very nice and the pixel averaging is reasonably good.
-
- I am happy with these two - though crave a UNIX based .fli maker which does NOT
- require X or SunView - just text based like dta and tgafli and that does
- pixel averaging.
-
- But alas - no luck - any ideas? If you are interested in dta.exe, I'd be
- willing to try to find a anon ftp site to put it to - no, I haven't seen it
- at simtel.....
-
- Cheers Chris.
