- The Advanced Graphics Division (AGD) at Silicon Graphics is
- responsible for the development of all high-end graphics & video products
- (e.g. RealityEngine). The AGD graphics team is a group of spirited, hard
- working engineers who really enjoy developing high-end graphics & video
- products. The team includes several of the company's founders. Specifically,
- the group's responsibilities include:

- - Work closely with members of the hardware team to specify, architect,
- and simulate next generation high-end graphics hardware & associated
- algorithms
-
- - implement GL (both OpenGL and IrisGL) on graphics products
-
- - implement device dependent system software to support graphics
- hardware devices (kernel, Xserver, etc.)
-
- - Help define the direction of the GL, graphics, and associated
- video products for the company
-

- We are currently looking for a highly qualified leader to join four other
- managers in guiding our expanding graphics software development team.

- We seek a person with the following qualifications:

- - Graduate degree in CS or EE

- - A very strong background in 3D graphics including the ability
- to set the direction of next generation graphics products

- - Software development background in a C/Unix environment
-
- - Hands on experience developing graphics hardware with a
- demonstrated record of project completion
-
- - 3 or more years technical management experience (a hands on
- technical leader with a high energy level preferred)

- The following qualifications would be a plus:

- - Experience with SGI products and GL programming
-
- - Experience in related application areas such as image
- processing, visual simulation, video, etc.

- We are also seeking an engineer with experience in graphics system
- software development. The qualifications include:

- - Graduate degree in CS or EE

- - 3+ years industry experience in system software development in
- a C/Unix environment

- - Experience with ddx, kernel device drivers, hardware
- interfaces

- - Hands on experience with the bringup and debugging of new
- hardware

- - Familiar with architectual/system simulation techniques
-
- - Works well in a group and also very self-motivated and directed.

- The following qualifications would be a plus:

- - Background in 3D graphics and/or video
-
- - Experience with multiprocessor workstation development
-
- - Familiarity with IRIX(tm)

- - Hardware development experience
