- I have just one little thing to add: I have noticed that in some cases if
- I start with a GIF that isn't very good, eg too grainy or off-color dots
- showing up, I can run it through a JPEG compressor using 256 color quant.
- and get an IMPROVED picture! In particular it seems to be able to smooth
- out skin tones that appear too pixilated in GIF. (I am using a Mac w/256
- colors).
