  13. : I am doing some work which involves reducing the number of colours in PCX
  14. : images from 256 down to around 25. Currently I am reducing colours by
  15. : merging similar colours, removing colours with small quantities, using
  16. : Heckbert's median cut technique and using Fletcher's box and merge
  17. : technique. While these techniques are good, reducing the number of colours
  18. : in an image to 25 is a bit hit and miss, hence any extra techniques would
  19. : be most appreciated. I am also generally after information related to
  20. : color comparison and transformation specifically related to perceptual
  21. : spaces such as CIE LUV etc. Any suggestions would be most gratefully
  22. : accepted.
